| well...kinda. it's beautiful. it's slightly cool, 70 degrees, not humid, and windy. i'm wore a long sleeve shirt while taking caedmon on a long and lovely walk.
but it's florida and it's green and there are palm trees. blustery just isn't the right word...

| when you're still out of shape and trying to learn the flying dutchman on viola (along with saint-seans cello concerto and dvorak no. 8)...in roughly 3 days.

| i saw an alligator today! my first as a florida resident. it was at the marina, a couple of blocks down from my house. a friend and i were walking around headed to the "private beach." it's been raining a lot and everything is a little swampy so i knew to keep my eyes open. i headed to some wooden boards that pass over a little (now bigger) stream and sure enough there was that dark log looking thing with eyes poking out. i backed up quickly (especially because i had my dog with me) and stated, "there's an alligator." we stayed long enough for my friend to spot it then we turned around to go home...quickly.
i'm bummed i didn't have my camera.
